St. Louis Senior Moves – What to do with old items when Moving / Selling Senior Homes?

What to do with unwanted house items, furniture and useless old things when selling your home or moving to a Senior Living Facility in Saint Louis, Missouri?

Hi everyone, welcome back to Senior Living Experience senior seminar series as always I’m your host Shelby Reed and today’s topic I wanted to talk about is a really common question we hear from both family members of seniors and then seniors themselves and that is – What are you going to do or where is a good place to donate items that you’re not bringing with you to the Senior Living facility?

Now most of the time when I’m talking about donating items I’m talking about the items that are not that large in size… that you can’t just fit in the back of your normal car. I’m talking about a dining room table, a china hutch possibly, a whole bedroom set and this is such a big question we get because not a lot of people have a pickup truck or a trailer, where they can easily dispose of these items

When you hire Senior Living Experience services for selling your home and then moving to a senior living facility in St. Louis, Missouri, we take care of all these things for you. We work with four main companies that are local here in Saint Louis and we have the resources to support your home sale, estate sale, moving to Assisted Living.

St. Louis Assisted Living & Moving Questions

Saint Louis Senior HomebuyersOur number one resource is Salvation Army, they’re an amazing resource. Goodwill is a second one and then there is another company called Home Sweet Home that we work with here in St. Louis. Apart from that we also work with St. Vincent De Paul.

All four of these organizations will schedule a donation pickup for you, so you’ll call them and we have all their phone numbers if you need them. You give them a call you, schedule a time for them to come by and pickup the items and that’s all.

All you have to do is just be present when they arrive for pickup. They will come into your home, pick up the dresser, pick up the table and they’ll move it and get it out for free of charge and guess what? you’ve just made a donations.

I hope this helped answer that big question today and as always check back for more answers relating to Senior home selling, Senior Estate Sale, Senior Moving and Senior Living / Assisted Living care programs.
