One of the biggest questions and concerns we hear right now is how can I as a Senior safely move into a Senior Living Community during this COVID pandemic. Communities are beginning to lift their restrictions and we are seeing our moves start to increase. We want to share some things we have been doing internally with our team members to still go forward with the move but keeping everyone – you, your family, and the members of the Communities safe!

One of the first changes we have implemented – is the option for a virtual In-Home Consultation. Versus having our Move Coordinator come inside of your home and meet with you in-person to discuss your personalized floor plan and moving plan – we can conduct these virtually using Facetime, Zoom, GoogleMeet, etc. We will drop off our packet of information – which will include a copy of your floor plan into your mailbox or front porch the day before your scheduled appointment. Then the day of your appointment, we will hop on Zoom, Facetime, etc and walk through your floor plan and furniture pieces with you – making plans for which pieces will go where, which pieces you no longer want and we can put on the list for donation, etc. If this is something you would like to take advantage of – please just let us know when we chat!
More changes we have made is to limit our touch points with our moving teams. Our moving teams have been trained to work directly off our inventory list we have created with you so that they are able to limit the time physically spent inside of your home – they go inside, head straight to those items, pick them up and load directly into the truck outside. All while wearing their protective masks! Our separate unpacking team (wearing masks and gloves as well) will meet the movers at your new apartment – unpack boxes, making sure all of the boxes and wrapping paper are removed before you arrive. They will wipe items down while they are unpacking, and begin loading the dishwasher (if possible) with your dishware so that it is cleaned and disinfected when you arrive!
