Our team here at Senior Living has aided in over a hundred moves in senior housing last year alone. Today, let’s look at one of our most favorite services offered here, our unpacking service. We have packers who are present in your new apartment on move-in day working alongside the movers, assisting them. While the movers are bringing in your furniture and all the boxes our packers are instructing them where to place everything, based on your floor plan. Ensuring your table is in the right spot, that mirror is on the right wall, and that dresser in the right room. Everything in its proper place, waiting for your arrival so you’re new place is move-in ready for you.
Move-in Ready
Moving into your new home really is stress-free and hassle-free. Upon your arrival, our packers will also help unpack all those boxes. This means they will be taking all those packed up boxes and physically unpacking, unloading, and getting rid of the empty boxes and packing paper, then they will start the process of putting your stuff away. One of the biggest benefits of this is in the kitchen. They will take all your cups, bowls, plates and utensils and either put them directly into the cabinet, or if there’s a dishwasher in your unit, they’ll run it through the dishwasher for you to sanitize it. They will also unload your bedding for you and go ahead and make your bed. They will take your hanging clothes from the box and place them in the closet for you. We always tell our clients that it probably won’t always be a hundred percent to your liking but you’ll be truly surprised, and many are. They’re so happy to come into their new home and have so little to do and arrange. To see pictures and furniture set up like it was in their old home or just the way they wanted. It makes the transition so much easier and smoother, as it can be a very emotional time for many. We know how difficult this time can be and we want to make it as easy and stress-free as possible.
