This past week in our office (virtual office that is!;)) – we celebrated a big win for a Senior we worked with here in St. Louis. Often times we meet with Seniors who know they are ready to make a downsizing transition, and their first step is calling us to come out and provide them with a price opinion report on the value of their home.
This specific Senior – I am calling her “Sally” for the sake of this blog;) was ready to accept an offer from our home buying team. They had agreed on a sales price that was amicable for both sides and were ready to move forward. However, the only problem was where was Sally going to move to?! Sally knew she was interested in moving into Senior Housing, but she was overwhelmed with the decision. She had previously met and toured a few near-by facilities, but was having a hard time choosing one.
Because of the location of her home, as well as a few “wish list” items Sally had – our Team referred her over to Bethesda Terrace Independent Living Community. The location was ideal for her, as well as the fit of the Community! Through our relationship with Bethesda’s own Moving with Ease program – we were able to quickly connect her with the Sales Manger at the Terrace, who had her in for a tour. Sally felt at ease and at home inside of the Community – it was a perfect fit!
We moved Sally into her new Community apartment by providing her with a customized floor plan, packing, moving and unpacking services. I’m happy to report she is settled in, and loving her new space and lifestyle!
